Website redesign in progress

Thanks to the kindness and generosity of our donors, I am updating ISO27001security.com from NetObjects Fusion - an ancient, unsupported and decidedly flaky PC website authoring package - to the cloud, specifically a paid Wix subscription.

NOF has served its purpose for decades but 'unsupported' implies 'unsecure'. In particular, I could not be sure of the site's availability as a Windows update could easily have rendered NOF completely unusable at any point. As it was, various NOF functions had already failed, to the point that I was amazed it still worked at all.

Currently, I am systematically migrating the existing content into a copycat design in Wix, using the Wix Content Management System to hold information about the ISO27k standards, of which there are about 100.

Once all the ISO27k standards are moved across and accessible, I will migrate other materials from NOF into Wix, such as the ISO27k Toolkit and FAQ.

Thereafter, it should be easier to maintain the site, adjust the formatting and style, change the page layouts and structure for desktop and mobile browsers, and most of all keep the content updated as the ISO27k standards are drafted, published and revised.

Along the way, I am gradually learning and becoming more familiar with the Wix interface. I already manage some other sites in Wix, and I look forward to conquering the challenge of making the ISO27k content informative, interesting and engaging - no mean feat for such a dry topic.

Meanwhile, please bear with me as I learn the ropes. Your feedback comments, improvement suggestions, complaints and offers of assistance are welcome, either direct to me (Gary@isect.com) or via the ISO27k Forum. If any professional Wix developers among you can spare the odd half-hour or so to nudge me the right direction as I stumble about, please get in touch. This remains a not-for-profit community project, and I'm sure the community would thank you for lending a hand.
